For kids, the excitement of the holidays also entails the anticipation of winter break, and though two weeks off from school merits plenty of downtime, it’s also important to stay active and productive. While the holiday season is packed with events for little ones, it can be hard to know what to do with your teenager. Many teens may be less than enthusiastic about going to see “The Nutcracker,” but winter break is still a great time for family outings that are not necessarily holiday oriented. Here are five things to do in Portland during this year’s winter school vacation that won’t have your teenager begging you to let them stay home.
Teens love to get their quirky on, and thanks to Portland’s love affair with the unconventional, parents have options galore for enjoying free time with their vacationing older kids during this year’s holiday break.
