Since I always crave sweet things, and I’m always on the hunt for healthy tasting snacks, I was pretty excited to try the new goodnessknows snack squares. These are new to Portland. They come in 3 flavors: Very Cranberry; Nutty Apple; Peachy Cherry. Served in 4-square servings, these are made with slow-raosted whole almonds, tangy fruits, tasty oats and deep chocolate which has 200mg per serving cocoa flavanols which support the healthy circulation of oxygen and nutrients.
These are incredibly flavorful and it’s amazing they are only 150 calories each. What I’ve been looking for in my food ingredients list lately for both myself and my kids, and goodnessknows had, was no artificial odors, flavors or preservatives. Portland was picked as a launch city (along with Seattle and boulder) because we are active and care about healthy lifestyles.
I am excited about the goodnessknows snacks because I am trying to be healthier without feeling deprived. I’m also on the lookout for how to make my kids lunches healthier as they head back to school. These are yummy, especially the Nutty Apple. You can find these at select QFC and Fred Meyer stores.
