And Now a Warner Family Christmas Story:
One bright cold morning, little Madelyn woke up to her first snowfall since she had learned to walk! There was a lot of snow. She threw a leash on Doggie and ran outside, dragging Doggie with her. Madelyn and Doggie tramped up and down the snowy hill until Doggie was shivering and dragged her back home. Then Daddo taught Madelyn to make and throw snowballs. After that, Madelyn took a bus to see a giant Christmas Tree and a Winter Wonderland featuring Santa and his reindeer. Madelyn and Santa got along nicely, and she gave him her card and invited him to a tea party with Doggie, but Santa was otherwise engaged that evening. After that, Madelyn explored some shops downtown and then took a very long, cold bus ride home. She was patient for the whole bus ride, and when she got home she drank her very first cup of warm vanilla milk. Madelyn thought vanilla milk was delicious, and had an animated discussion with Mama and Daddo about “holding out” on her. After that, Madelyn was very sleepy, and crawled into the biggest bed in the house, snuggled herself deep under the covers, and fell fast asleep.
Merry Christmas!
