Dare to Dream, Disney on Ice
Disney on Ice always awes and inspires: Beautiful music, gorgeous costumes and amazing dancers. Disney on Ice’s Dare to Dream was a great show for kids of all ages. The sets, the music, the choreography of bringing the movies to life is a highly involved production.
Stories from Rapunzel, Cinderella and Princess and the Frog are brought to life with colorful characters and dance routines all on skates. Even Maximus the horse gets in the act! Perhaps the highlight of the show was when Rapunzel and Flynn soar high above the ice and float in the air on ribbons of silk. The acrobatics of this dance routine had the crowd mesmerized. One of the fun parts of going to these shows is seeing how happy it makes all the kids in the audience. Little girls dress up in their princess costumes and wear tiaras and wave to all the characters on the ice when they skate by. The creation of wonder is sweet to watch. We were also impressed to learn that Dare to Dream is led and produced by two women, sisters Nicole and Juliette Feld, a first for the company. Shows run through this weekend at the Rose Quarter.
